The Meeru Island Resort is a Maldivian classic. The 4-star resort is the third oldest hotel on the islands, but this year it still leaves many travelers satisfied. It is also one of the largest with 284 rooms.
The Meeru is a good option for various types of public: couples and families, and therefore there are two areas: one for adults and one for families, with two separate pools, two buffet restaurants and two spas.
Meeru Island is just 50 minutes from Malé Airport, on the North Malé Atoll.
Rooms at the Meeru have their tropical charm, made of wood and well equipped. There are rooms on the beach and over the water with a Jacuzzi. Cleaning is perfect, twice a day.
The all-inclusive plan is often a favorite with visitors to Meeru Island. In recent years the quality of food has improved a lot. And the bars are always lively, with nightly entertainment and music.
