COMO Maalifushi is a luxurious resort located in Maalifushi Island, the first resort in the unspoiled Thaa atoll. Thaa is famous for its diverse species of fishes and sharks. The island is located 50 minutes by seaplane from Male.
The resort is ideal for families with small children, couples, surfers and divers. It offers an abundance of underwater experiences. The island is surrounded by some uninhabited islands, including one that can be booked for castaway picnics and romantic private dinners.
If you are a couple and look for a romantic resort, you should check the sister resort: COMO Cocoa Island. Maalifushi is more family friendly
There are 66 rooms, half on the water (perfect for couples) and other half on the garden or the beach. The villas are designed with wood floors and elegant furniture, a dining table, music station, coffee machine, marble bathrooms with a large bathtub and rain-shower facilities. Most villas include a private pool.
There is a spa, yoga classes, fitness on the beach and healthy dining options. Snorkelling, kayaking and paddle-boarding and some snorkeling excursions are available and complimentary.
Madi Restaurant will serve all-day Maldivian and international cuisines. Guests can also enjoy traditional Japanese dishes at Tai Restaurant or unwind with a cocktail at Thila Bar.
