Milaidhoo Island Maldives is a superluxury boutique resort in the incredible UNESCO biosphere reserve in Baa Atoll. The isla is 30 minutes by seaplane from the Internatinal Airport in Male. Another option, cheaper, is taking a 15 minute domestic flight followed by another 15 minutes by speedboat.
Milaidhoo is very close to the famous Hanifaru Bay, where largest number of manta rays of the world gather from June to November. It is also possible to spot whale sharks. Resort’s house reef is also a protected area and noted as an outstanding snorkeling and diving site.
There are only 50 villas, all with private pool on the sundeck. The 50 villas have ocean views and blend perfectly into the spectacular surroundings. There are 30 water villas (245 m2), and 20 villas on the beach (290 m2).
There are three restaurants at Milaidhoo and the Gourmet plan is a dine-around meal plan offering international and premium brands of spirits, beers, wines and cocktails. There are also two bars.
Guests of Milaidhoo have access to some privileges that shows the category of the resorts, like the complimentary champagne bottle or the use of a private airport lounge on arrival and departure.
There is a spa, complimentary yoga and meditation classes, sailing, catamarans, kayaks, dolphin cruises, a 24-hour fitness center and yacht trips. Given the location of Milaidhoo resort, there are of course excursions for whale shark and manta ray watching. Also some conservation activities are available with the resident marine biologist.
